I know. Hair loss itself is a headache. But, did you know that hair loss and headaches are truly linked?

How hair loss and headache are related

This condition can lead to hair loss, fatigue, mood swings, weight gain, constipation, painful menstruation dysmenorrhea.

Lupus is another autoimmune disease that causes headaches, because lupus produces body inflammation. But, even so, there is no evidence that finally shows that there is a connection between headaches and autoimmune diseases.

What types of hair loss leads to

There are four types of hair loss due to stress. First, telogen effluvium. It happens when stress forces a large number of hair follicles to enter a resting phase. In a few months, the follicles that stay in that phase, suddenly begin to fall, with just taking a shampoo or combing your hair.

The second is alopecia areata, which occurs when anxiety levels are high. Then the white blood cells attack the hair follicles.

Third is traction alopecia. This is connected with tight hairstyles.

Fourth and not least is Trichotillomania. This is an irresistible desire to pluck out the hair from the scalp, eyebrows and other parts of the body.

Remember that there is a link between hair loss and headaches, as well as there is between stress and hair loss.
